Congrats to our lads on the first 4-in-a-row in the history of the minor hurling championship. Hard luck to Kilkenny who looked likely winners with a few minutes to go. it was a cracking second-half. Gaillimh_Abu (Galway) - Posts: 996 - 10/07/2021 18:34:33 2358343 Link 1 |

Yeah. Congratulations to Galway on a marvellous achievement. It was tough going in the second half. Kilkenny put in a mighty effort and even near the end, I thought it might end up in a draw. Midleton (Cork) - Posts: 643 - 10/07/2021 18:59:09 2358355 Link 1 |
A great game of hurling, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Kilkenny will rue their slow start, 0-7 to 0-0 down after about 10 minutes. I thought KK were going to nick it at the end, instead it was Galway. Congratulations to Galway, especially with their four in a row. Cockney_Cat (UK) - Posts: 2419 - 10/07/2021 19:09:52 2358358 Link 1 |
Great comeback by your guys. Down 8 points to 1 at the first water break I believe. You fought back and took the lead even. KK are never out of a match I'll tell you that. No lead is safe. Galway Abu.

A good and satisfying win for Galway in the way the match panned out. But in victory maybe it is more appropriate to make reference to the performance of the referee. He made some atrocious decisions....the most blatant being no booking (definite yellow, probably red) and no free given when the Galway forward was recklessly headbutted into the chest by his opponent. I don't normally indulge in criticism of referees because they have a tough job but it is never a good sign when the referee is as much a subject for discussion afterwards as the game itself. I was stunned by the performance of the ref. GAA might take a look at 2 or 3 incidences that he and his helpers let go. suckvalleypaddy (Galway) - Posts: 1662 - 11/07/2021 12:26:21 2358532 Link 3 |
Yeah when he thre in the ball late in the game when the Galway player was floored..could have been seriously injured with the opposition players use of his head. I must say that they are a very skilful Galway team but having said that the KK steel nearly caught them. ONdeDITCH (Limerick) - Posts: 873 - 11/07/2021 14:46:58 2358583 Link 1 |
