New Advantage Rule In Hurling

Replying To SaffronDon:  "2 players running for the broken ball, one falls over, free. The stop/start nature of this Galway Tipp match is really frustrating to watch. There's a good match trying to break out here but the odds are stacked against it with the whistle blowing every 30 seconds!"
Twice as many of the frees going to Galway.

I think John Keenan is having a good game today. 2 dubious frees near the start, one with little contact and the other, one player falling over the other. But for me overall he has let the play flow. And not a bad game for the league

A lot of players being blown up for putting hand on other player's back. That's always been a free and the ref has to blow up for that. That is not a new rule. Maybe players need to look at how they challenge from behind

The Westmeath Waterford game took the biscuit last week with 47 frees. If Westmeath were one of the top teams with a loud mouth manager there would be a big out cry because they were the recipient of this terrible officiating more than us. Patrick Curran scored 11 points and was not an influence outside of that. No disrespect to Patrick but he is not in the team tomorrow. After notching 11 points ? Show you where the game is now played. The sending off of Fagan for a second innocuous challenge. Lyons sent off for what was a clean hit and at most late deserving a yellow card but the player went down (not faking). O but there is nothing wrong with the game.

tipp looked good seem to be coming together nicely...never showed replay of sending off but going by the umpire id say he can have no complaints as he seemed to suggest he struck with the hurley.

Didn't see red incident but it looked like it was a striking incident going by umpire..thought some frees given were of the very soft variety, again a few players going to ground easily and a couple of shouts being left out..thought ref did his best to let it go but the tackling again is a huge problem..
