Replying To Greengrass:  "Tell me any sporting organisation to whom money is not important. The cash rich Premiership clubs are currently charging their supporters €16 a game to watch some of their games on pay per view. The IRFU are sending two teams to Paris of all places If their games aren't played then they don't get paid. The GAA put the vast bulk of the money the games generate back in to the games development grants, coaching, schools, summer camps and infrastructure."
I'm not knocking it. Money makes a lot of things flow smoothly in the GAA. But recent major decisions seem to be made more for the sake of money than for the welfare of its memebers and elite level players.

Meanwhile I see the FAI can allow from under 19 down to train outdoors
And parents can travel from other countys to bring their kids to the training
Double standards or what

Absolutely. The whole "debate' stinks of double standards. Rugby teams travelling to Paris and not a word about it.

Replying To yew_tree:  "I agree...it's not outdoor sports that's causing the spread and for the sake of one game they should have been allowed finish it out.

I've been in three big Irish towns today and all I'll say is people are absolutely mental in the head....queues into shopping centers, tesco car parks jammed (tesco are not closing). Women with trolleys and kids all in on top of each other...if they get Covid then tough luck...idiots the lot of them."
There have been a fair number of cases connected to outdoor sport. West Limerick had some fool infect 56 people part of which was at a match.

And are you suggesting we close Tesco and the likes ?
