Jeeze you do need things explained"
It was a statement, not a question. No need to explain yourself at all. It's clear now what your motives were.

Obviously I did need to explain

That's why you now understand.

Replying To Ulsterman:  "What Kennelly did in the 2009 final was one of the worst, dirty hits you will ever see on a sports field. What was the reaction of the media and many within the GAA world?? " Ahhhh Shhhurrrrr, 'tis a man's game, isn't it great to see Tadgh winning All Ireland and Aussie Rules Championships". It was scandalous. If that had been a Tyrone, Armagh, Donegal or Meath player he and his county would have been ripped apart and declared Public Enemy No.1."
I was waiting for the punch line alright. It's good to see that your horizons have expanded beyond Ulster though, with you now including Meath in the "oh wow is us" gang. Did ye mean Monaghan by any chance. ;)

We've a great set of lads we should be proud of, but humility is about owning the values the lads portray and living that way ourselves as best we can, making it a part of Dublin culture.

I think every second media jock, throwing bouquets at us needs to be taken with a pinch of slat, they will be hanging us soon enough, all we can do is stick to our values with humility, without looking for or valuing outside acknowledgment or validation. Its our way and what ever comes from outside the county or the media, doesnt interest me to be honest. Confidence and identity are should be self sustaining.

This is more like what the DUP sounded like back in the 70s than anything that I have read in a long time.

A persecution complex over a remark about a Kerry footballer's actions 10 years ago that has absolutely nothing to do with the Dublin GAA whatsoever - Yet the knee jerk reaction is to round the wagons, over absolutely nothing.

Let's not forget that this is a trolling thread, set up to rile Kerry supporters, by a so called Dublin supporter. It would be a different story if the thread were started by someone from another county about splitting the Dubs in 2, funding, (which has not appeared for a while now thank God). You would expect a solid defensive argument.

I think this thread speaks volumes.

Not a big fan of the plastic nationalism on here to be honest, referencing unionists in the negative and republicanism as a positive. The more unionists that play GAA the better in my opinion, sort it out GAA.

egoless...right.
you have not got a hope of making it as an inter county player if you dont have an ego.
and to be honest,if i was looking at the greatest team of all time,i would not care less if they were the most egotistical bunch in the country.
people say "oh the all blacks have no ego" its absolute bs

WEll, could you just clarify for me exactly are those 'volumes'. What is it saying precisely?

I've just read an article on RTE website in which Tommy Gorman likens Seamus Darby and the 1982 Offaly team to the DUP dashing the cup from Boris Johnson's lips just as he thought he had reached the Holy Grail of a Brexit deal.

Isn't it funny how people reach for the DUP every time they want to strike a less than particular comparison? Is there a subtext which suggests that Kerry represent pure Gaeldom and that anybody who denies them is an imposter??

I have seen absolutely no evidence of a persecution complex in a anything any Dublin poster has written. When a debate like this evolves Dubs align themselves with their county while others take a contrary position.

Dub posters are wintering too well to bother circling any wagons, a chara.

Yes winter well indeed. I would be too if we had won the all Ireland, I certainly wouldn't be starting trolling threads to rile the losing finalists.

re the DUP comment, it has nothing to do with referencing Dublin in a greater or lesser light than Kerry or any other county, it is a reference to a poster that I quoted.

Tadhag Kenelley in the 2009 final not getting sent off somehow managed to transform into an anti Dublin campaign in the same poster's head.

He needs to get out a wee bit for fresh air, even though it's winter as you say, or near enough it.
