Donegal’s new senior football management is expected to be ratified at a specially convened meeting of the county committee on Monday night.

Multiple reports suggest that Aidan O’Rourke and Paddy Carr will be nominated at the meeting at the Donegal GAA Training Centre in Convoy.

It comes after St Eunan’s manager Rory Kavanagh pulled out of the race last week after having seemingly been the frontrunner to succeed Declan Bonner whom vacated the post back in July.

O’Rourke and Carr both hand stints in charge of Louth’s senior footballers in the past, with Armagh native O’Rourke also having worked under James McCartan in Down recently.

Carr, who led Kilmacud Crokes to All-Ireland club glory in 2009, is a former Donegal player and has previously been linked with the Tir Chonaill County’s senior manager’s post.
