Jesus Meath were awful in the second half. How can you not at least work a short kickout with an extra man.

The extra time to prepare and being able to scout finals in full knowledge of the next opponent is a bizarre reward for provincial knockout. Today's result in Killarney was no surprise. I was saying during the club championships that there were going to be a few counties in contention. While the vast majority disagreed at the time, that's not the case now."
The current system didn't seem to do Cork nor Galway any harm after their recent provincial finals. Their respective opponents had much more time to prepare and scout. It's only poor ould Kerry that the system seems to be against.

-Booing of Murphy very bad form from the Kerry crowd, and it wasn't just a small section. It was bellowing around Fitzgerald Stadium.
-Kerry fans leaving with 15-20 minutes of the game still to play, also very bad form.
-Their foul and dirty play caught up with Kerry today. Lucky to have had only one player get the line.

Murphy's on his 90th championship cap for Donegal still some operator.

Just in the door. A great day. Will Ballybofey be ready if we get a home draw?

You need to look at both incidents properly before you nake an assumption like that.

The extra time to prepare is what Kerry have been getting for years.
Kerry now have to play an extra match in the AI Series and will have less time to recover.
For Donegal it's just one victory but one match away from a quarter final is massive.

Re your point on dirty play, you obviously therefore agree that Murphy should have been sent off in the league final and given a subsequent ban, yes?

A few of us oldies will remember Frank McGuigan. I was lucky enough to see him play, including in Croke Park in '84. What an addition he'd have been to the '86 team. God rest you Frank

Whats your take on Murphys behaviour in the league final?

We're looking for consistency here....

RIP Frank the King. I tried to start a topic on his passing on this site but to no avail. A legend of Tyrone football. They turned up in their thousands from neighbouring counties to watch him play club football for Ardboe when he came home from America.

Give it a break will you. Nobody is excusing what Murphy did in the final.

Yet here you are excusing the Kerry boo boys yesterday.

Says a lot.

What's with Galway posters having a fit over Murphy. We all accept he should have got the line in the league final but he couldn't send himself off, so what should he do ban himself. It's football, move on enjoy the games I didn't hear Jack O'Connor crying about anything yesterday a proper GAA man who takes it on the chin and moves on.
