Bonner must be thinking this weekend that we should either be playing Clare tomorrow or Galway on Sunday, He had 2 good chances to get this team to Croke Park for a quarter final and he failed again at the business end of the Championship, not to mind all the other years we have failed to progress. He should never have been reappointed. No doubt in my mind now that he should have resigned already, he's getting as bad as Boris over the water now, For love of God man just go. Go away and enjoy the club championship and see your club regain there title.. one thing I do know lad is I know my football from years of experience. I'm as straight as they come maybe a wee bit too much. But it is what it is. I can see them winning the all-ireland" I'd no problem with the tactics for most of the day, it was how we handled the game when we were 2 points up that was severely disappointing. They'll have a tougher test in the semi-final but I expect them to beat Galway or Armagh to be quite honest. I just don't rate Armagh all that highly and I think Galway will win that game, setting up a rematch from the league and I don't think Galway will get the goals they got in the league. The thing with Derry is their keeper. I think he has huge mistakes in him and it will cost them eventually. Clare's 2nd goal today was a lovely finish but shocking goalkeeping. Anybody thinks any different probably wudnt be well up on there football.." Their defensive tactics were largely right against Derry but their lack of intent or variety in attack was the killer. A tactical attacking failure for me. I do agree it was fine margins but I'm not sure it was unfortunate. We were 2 points up and didn't go for the jugular when we clearly had the momentum. We are certainly the only team to date in this year's championship though who managed to keep Derry honest and I think it will take a Kerry or Dublin to beat Derry. Not sure Armagh or Galway can. The difference is while Dublin or Kerry will need to mimic what we did defensively, they will drive into spaces much harder in attack and have much more variety in how they attack. If we had won Bonner would have been front and centre to be interviewed, instead he goes into hiding, not a good look tbh.
