The referee ruined the Ratoath Dunboyne game, sending off two Ratoath and one Dunboyne player early on then another Ratoath player with a couple of minutes to go.

I disagree, the Referee was correct, I was standing right beside the incident, The Dunboyne lad should have got a straight Red but got a 2nd yellow for the tackle. What the two Ratoath lads did after was inexcusable. The ref was Right they had to go. I didn't see what happened with the 1st yellow for the keeper. Overall a good game, young Boylan for Dunboyne looks a good prospect.

yes i agree unfortunately the ref had a very poor game the sendings off were poor how he managed to find two ratoath players out of that and give them straight reds and then only give one dunboyne man a second yellow is beyond me. having said that a very entertaining game even if it did end so low scoring. lot of heart and determination put in.

I was going to get into the whole red card incidents but to do that would take from what was a brilliant game of football with both sides playing some excellent football. It was played at pace for the whole 60 minutes and for Ratoath, who probably really should have taken the game to hold Dunboyne to a draw with 2 players gone for the majority of the game is something else.

Credit has to be given to Dunboyne for not responding and turning it into a boxing match. Cant forget that Dunboyne had a player sent off early on aswell, so They only had a one player advantage until very late on when Ratoath lost their goalkeeper.

Referee got it spot on for all the red cards, The keepers 1st yellow was for mouthing, Which is why I was disappointed with the ref for the rest of the match, He saw nothing and with a few very strange frees here and there, I was disgusted with the way rathoat acted, with the amount of off ball insidents and little digs and pulling jersey repeatitly, and I see the 'donegal' style of football creeping into the way they play, please say this isn't for good? It's frustrating to watch, overall a decent match but most of the county minors playing very quiet which is worrying. Anyone know who 14 was for dunboyne?

Would you ever get over yourself.....the Dunboyne lads gave as good as they got and more besides....it was a pity it happened at all but there you go....plenty of people on the sideline too who should have known better than to get involved and I'm talking about both sides....maybe you're sorry now you were so cocky in your post on the previous page here......................

Meath222 how can u say Ratoath deployed Donegal tactics it was quite the opposite actually it was dunboyne that were playing those tactics as they brought both there centre forward and full forward out to around midfield and deeper, even when they went a man and then 2 men up they kept pulling players back in to defence so that point seems a bit ridiculous.

I wasnt being cocky at all, most people were expecting a Dunboyne win. Ratoath fully deserved the draw, if not more, on the performance they put in.

Did you start following football yesterday? Pat's aren't a VEC team, play in the A grade of a different competition and draw from a school of 800 males from a host of clubs. Ratoath are doing very well drawing largely from one club in a mixed and new school. Don't let your imagination run away with you.
