Ulster U21 Championship

McBrearty is only as good as we let him be. I remember Killian Clarke kept him scoreless in last year's championship, same again tomorrow would be ideal. If we manage to break even at midfield we should have enough fire power to get over the line. Revenge for 2010 lads! Breifne Abú!

Jack Brady and enda Reilly are top class players ,Gerry smith as the best player in the county , we need them all to perform and Flanagan to lead and get stuck in , Joe and moynagh played last year so this shows the tallent that keeps them out of starting team , great to be in a position like this , i hope that every player plays for the creast on there hearth

Looking forward to the big game. Hopefully the lads can play as well as last Wed. A big crowd from Breffni is what is needed to roar them on. Yes there is a few hurts over the last 5 years to avenge. So get down to Brewster and no excuses. Lots of lads going from Dublin and such far off places. Come on the boys in blue!!

The very best of luck to our U-21's and the mgt team. Expectations will be high in Donegal with all that has been achieved in the last year but our young warriors will be out to do a job on them. Should be a good one

Yessssssssssssssssssssssss. Cavan win by 0-13 to 1-6, but made hard work of it in end. Fair play to the lads, that's 3 Ulster titles in a row. Unbelievable.....

Wonderful achievement by the players and mgnt team. An Ulster 3 in a row at any level is a rarity and could never have been predicted three years ago. It's time to push on now and nail a national title at this level. Just shows you the value of the Leinster Jun competition when you see how many of that team have broken into the senior squad since and off course provided Chris Conroy with the experience to produce a MOTM performance tonight. He has to come into the senior panel soon.

Congratulations to Cavan on a great achievement. Go the whole way now & then bring it on to senior level.

Ulster could do with a strong Cavan at senior level.

Brilliant to do 3 in a row, would be unbelievable if we could get an All Ireland at this level now as we've been knocking on the door the last few years. Some great talent in that squad, go the whole ways lads, AN CABHÁN ABÚ!!

Well done to all involved with the set up. Peter Reilly must take credit for pushing things forward after Terry "Mr" Hyland departed. It is just great to see such a stream of under age success. Certainly at under age level the second decade of the 21 centuary will be looked back on with pride in years to come.

There is no guarantee that success at under age will show itself in a successful senior team in the years ahead, it increases the chances of same no doubt but it is no guarantee. So for today lets all enjoy the moment when Cavan won a three in a row in Ulster.

I see it's Cork on Saturday week, for the first time this year we will go into a game as under dogs but you know what we have a real chance of turning them over!

Finally, thanks to Longford who beat us in the Hastings Cup final and Monaghan who gave us such a game in the quarter final, the lessons learned in those games have stood to us.

Wee Martin was feeling the pressure after the game on Highland Radio. He thought Cavan did well at this level but couldn't see any outstanding players who would make it at Senior level whereas Donegal had 3 or 4 with McBrearty, McNiallis, Martin O'Reilly so they'll be happy enough. Also Cavan need to win an All-Ireland.

Maybe a bit bitter but he had two sons playing so when he calms down I'm sure he'll be more even-handed.
