A piece of GAA history was made on Sunday evening when three generations of the same family with the same name lined out together for the Moycullen C1 hurlers.

Morgan Darcy Snr was joined on the team by his son Morgan and grandson, also Morgan, for the game against Salthill-Knocknacarra. 

Morgan Snr is a well-known handballer, while his son was goalkeeper on Galway's 1993 All-Ireland U21 hurling winning team and also won Railway Cup and National League medals in 1994 and '96 with Connacht and Galway respectively.
