New York will be among the teams taking part in the 2023 Connacht Senior Hurling League.

All of the games will be played at the NUIG Connacht GAA Air Dome in Bekan, Co. Mayo in early January, with New York opening their campaign against Longford on January 2. Managed by Kerry native Richie Hartnett, the Exiles held their first training session at Gaelic Park on October 17 last and are hoping to use the tournament as a stepping stone towards participation in the Lory Meagher Cup.

The New York-based Galway 2017 All-Ireland SHC winner Johnny Glynn is expected to miss the tournament through injury.

The other counties taking part are defending champions Roscommon, Sligo, Leitrim and a Galway development squad.
