Liam Coleman has been named as the Wexford senior football captain for 2023.
The Castletown clubman takes over the captaincy from Martin O’Connor, who he served as vice-captain to last year. Coleman actually skippered the Model County in their last competitive game against Offaly in the Tailteann Cup last summer when O’Connor was unavailable through injury.
Eoghan Nolan from Shelmaliers and Rathgarogue-Cushinstown’s Eoin Porter will share the vice-captaincy this year.
Now managed by John Hegarty, Wexford will get their 2023 campaign underway against Kildare in the O’Byrne Cup at Taghmon tomorrow night.
