Dromore made their goals count in the first defence of their Tyrone senior football championship title last night with a 3-9 to 1-10 win over Killyclogher at Healy Park.

Ronan McNabb Jnr’s early goal helped pave the path to victory for the holders, as they went on to lead at the break by the minimum (1-3 to 0-5).

Mark Bradley’s point levelled the sides early in the restart but Dromore hit the jackpot again in the 36th minute with Tomas McCarron setting up Peter Teague to fist to the net.

Mark Hayes came off the bench to fire in a goal which brought Killyclogher right back into contention and Bradley made it a one-point game again moments later.

However, the St Dympna’s were able to hold out and wrapped up the win in injury-time with their third goal coming from substitute Andrew McGrath to advance to the last eight.
