Jayo's All-Ireland final jersey returned to him on 25th anniversary

This week marks the 25th anniversary of Dublin's All-Ireland SFC final victory over Tyrone.
The Dubs defeated the Red Hands 1-10 to 0-12 to get their hands on the Sam Maguire Cup for the first time in 12 years in front of a packed Croke Park crowd. Charlie Redmond scored the crucial goal for Dublin and was later involved in a sending off controversy which saw referee Paddy Russell showing him the red card twice.
A 19-year-old Jason Sherlock lined out at full-forward for the Dubs that September day in 1995 while Chris Lawn was the Tyrone full-back and afterwards the duo swapped jerseys at the final whistle. On Wednesday gone by, Sherlock received an incredible surprise when his good friend Lawn returned him his no. 14 jersey as a special gift to mark the occasion.
"Well Jayo, hope all's well," Lawn wrote in a letter to Sherlock. "I know the 25th celebrations have been shelved so far but hope you all get your deserved day in the sun. I figured this shirt would look better on your wall rather than my wardrobe!
"Please keep those shirts of mine, it's better looking at the winning ones. I hope some day we can get a beer when all's back to normal. All the best buddy, Chris."
