Offaly's Jack Bryant celebrates

Offaly’s rise continues as the county’s U20 footballers saw off Cork this evening to move into an All-Ireland championship final.

The Faithful lads scored a 3-10 to 0-14 victory at O’Moore Park to book their slot in the decider on August 14th against either Down or Roscommon.

'Man of the Match' Jack Bryant (2-4) netted the victors’ first goal on 25 minutes as they led by a comfortable 1-7 to 0-3 at half-time.

Cork narrowed the deficit to four with five points on the bounce after the restart but they’d be rocked again when Cathal Flynn found their net in the 45th minute.

The Rebels battled back to leave a goal in it with five minutes to go and they’d have it down to two points in injury-time before Bryant’s second goal sealed the deal for Leinster champions.
