Former Westmeath hurler and selector Darren McCormack has been appointed manager of the county camogie senior team.
The Castlepollard clubman had acted as a selector within Johnny Greville's camogie backroom team for the past two years.
A Railway Cup winner, McCormack captained Westmeath to Christy Ring Cup glory in 2007, and was also part of the management set-up that led Westmeath to a famous Leinster U21HC quarter-final victory over Kilkenny.
