Northern Ireland’s First Minister Arlene Foster has said she’s “deeply concerned” following the pitch invasion after yesterday’s Tyrone SFC final in Omagh.

Dungannon ended their 64-year wait to be crowned Tyrone senior champions after edging Trillick 8-7 on penalties at Healy Park, where jubilant crowds raced on to the field afterwards.

Mrs Foster tweeted that it has prompted concerns about social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic.

While she acknowledged the “significant milestone” for Dungannon, the Co Fermanagh native also said that “Covid-19 is no respecter of victories” and called on Ulster Council to address the issue.
