Clooney< I just pointed out something? Just like I pointed out Clare's diving this year. Is it an offence on the site to point out truths or call someone nasty for doing so? Thats wrong.

Sadly there is no room for debate or nuance in the world today and increasingly so in Ireland. Our politics and way of life is in the process of replicating the toxic state of things in the US. You will be branded far left or racist/nazi if you opinion resides in the middle between the 2 extremes on any hot topics. Language is becoming increasingly meaningless so the best thing most of the time is to say nothing at all and keep your opinion to yourself. At the same time it is important not to be too sensitive. We are all too afraid of being labelled. It is always worth remembering that what others think about me is none of my business. It is their problem. Dont let the so-and-so's win.

As for the matches this Saturday,Im hoping for 2 good games. I think Galway vs Tipp is 50/50. Unfortunately I wont be able to be there but hoping we will come through. I think Clare will win the other game by about 6 points.

The fact that the HS allowed such a remark makes me question why I bother.
After 15 years of posting regularly on here, I'll be leaving it at that.
I'll finish the prediction competition but no interest in bothering with a forum who allows that kind of stuff to see the light of day."
Tiobraid I may disagree with you from time to time on specific incidents but the comments on here about Tipp cross the line in my opinion. One poster who is a cheer leader for this behaviour and referred to as winding people up gets way too much rein. I wish his county men who are among the best would call him out because it is too easy to fob it off as winding.

Defo agree its a sick comment from that poster not sure how it was allowed through. There is good banter on here most of it harmless you take it with a pinch of salt but this one goes deep. Will there be any action against this poster I wonder!!! Nothing against Wexford I've many friends from there spent most of my youth there on holidays every summer love the place their fans at hurling matches are great craic they bring massive support colour and non stop noise. 2019 semi was an example of that.

We'll have to start a petition tiobraid. I've been on this forum since 2007 /2008 and I've never seen such a fair and balanced poster. Im sure you seen others calling for you not to go so that shows the esteem and regard people have for you. There is a shortage of Tipp posters here as it is with the knowledge you posess. Hopefully the moderator will take some action with that poster.

Action? For pointing out something that happened? That sounds like you wish to enforce soemthing else. There is such a thing as freedom of speech.

Yes it happened and one person done it not everyone in the whole county. Call it freedom of speech if you want but that is not freedom of speech. And yes action should be taken by the moderator for example removal of your freedom of hate speech post!!! You have a personal gripe towards Tipp people in my opinion.

If it is not freedom of speech what is it? How do you make out that I have a personal gripe about Tipperary? If you can answer me that question I will give an honest response.

Your post wasn't 'pointing out something that happened', it was inferring that the actions of one troll represented an entire county.

But if you want to defend it under freedom of speech, fire away. But I wouldn't be surprised if the lout who made the revolting comments at that match used the same defense

I was hoping to attend but none left. Would have thought these quarter finals would have been in Croker. Big neutral interest, particularly in the Tipp Gal game. Is Eamon Ryan setting the fixtures now

There will be more tickets on general sale, All the 4 county boards have an allocation and clubs have been emailed to place orders before Thursday. That would account for a big whack of tickets that won't be taken up so my advice would be to try again Thursday afternoon.

Not sure how many Dublin have option on, but there will be no more than 1/2,000 very maximum taken I would say.

Tiobraid come back for the sake of the conversation here just as the championship is getting going, you make a lot more sense than most on here.

You are so right. The far right and the far left have hijacked everything including politics and especially social media. If you differer with either you are branded. The reality is the majority are in the middle or independent on most topics. We now have these minority extremes driving our society and when it comes to politicians they are milking it fr personal gain.
Anyway like you looking forward to the games on Sat that should unite us while being able to have some banter even if it is opposite opinions.

Replying To Premier28:  "Wake up oldtourman ye have 11 All Irelands in 148 years of the history of the GAA.
it took ye 45 years to win the one in 2018 and before 1973 when ye got a 70 against Tipp that never was a 70 and beat a KK team with 8 of their players injured it took ye another 45 years thats two All Irelands in 90 years
You need to face reality man thats why ye will never be compared to Tipp/Cor/kKK"
You never did advanced Maths anyway. And you certainly know nothing about '73, when we beat ye fair and square in your own backyard, putting six rockets in the back of the Tipp net in the process, to put the icing on the Cake. Your eight KK men off is taken straight out of Alice in Wonderland.

Its not freedom of speech don't try to defend your stupid comment. You basically said you got to see what Tipp hurling supporters are really like that day in Carrick. That's a personal gripe you have because of one person in my opinion. Tipp supporters are no different to any other supporters at a match. Every county has an opinion of how other counties supporters act at a hurling match because they see or hear stuff by those fans so automatically all of those counties fans get tarnished with the same brush. I see myself on social media for example some Tipperary supporters pages fans from other counties join up and post stuff just to get a reaction off Tipp people. I'm sure it happens with other counties too. You wanted a reaction to your post and your getting it. Although I see it has been removed by the looks of things so thanks to the mods for that.

Nice to see this conversation getting back to a bit of normality..if politics is on the agenda, think there is a non Gaa discussion going there..on next Saturday I really can't see Clare making any mistake and I hope all dub supporters won't take offence..I just can't see the dubs having enough firepower..hoping for a half decent game..I'm changing my mind every day with the other quarter.I feel tipp have forwards who can really trouble the Galway backs but also at the other end Galway have the forwards to cause serious damage to tipp..both teams have excellent free takers..I have doubts about Galway keeper but tipp have an inexperienced man between the posts to so they might decide this one..think there could be lots of goals and I'll go with tipp to take more chances but only just.
