Patrick O’Sullivan has been elected Kerry GAA chairman for a second time.

The Dr Crokes clubman and outgoing vice-chairman defeated Eamon Whelan by 127 votes to 112 at last night's annual convention in Tralee to regain the position he last served between 2012 and 2016 when he was heavily involved in fundraising for the Kerry GAA Centre of Excellence at Currans which was officially opened at the weekend. O'Sullivan succeeds Tim Murphy in the top job.

Liam Lynch of Austin Stacks is the new vice-chairman after defeating Dermot 'Weeshie' Lynch by 135 votes to 103.

The only other contest on the night saw Joe Costello defeat Bernie Reen 124 votes to 115 for the position of Coaching Officer.
