Replying To daveboy:  "Could you name the 15 you would start along with the alternative 5 subs. I'd be most interested considering what's available?"
daveboy take no notice he's only trying to wind up lads here.....john kiely and co are looking at these boys 3 nights a week and have put what they think is the strongest team possible out. if limerick loose tomm he'll come flying bk here i told ye so, but if they win he'll go missing and bk to hibernation. there are certain posters on here just knocking the whole time, the genuine lads would be better off ignoring them. best of luck to all tommorow. a win is mighty but defeat doesnt spell the end of the year once theres a solid performance.

Replying To katser:  "They were brilliant teams Offaly '94 and Wexford '96 who fully deserved their All Irelands.....I was absolutely delighted both won. John Troy and Martin Story were my favourite hurlers of that time hence both Centre Forwards....I'd record their matches and watch their little tricks, flicks and movement on the video! Not only were they brilliant individuals but they were great for setting up scores for others."
have to agree cathy offaly and wexford were great wins but the one that stands out to me is my own county in 2018 .....to see the delight and celebrations of the limerick players was something else. but sport can be cruel and galway players just distraught .....there is even a poster on a gaa forum who hasnt got over it yet......4 yrs later.

Replying To Cockney_Cat:  "Ignore him. The slightest hint of criticism of his beloved Limerick, he's back blasting with both barrels. Two All-Irelands in the last 48 years and they think they are king of the castle."
three in 49 years sounds better....

Replying To DUALSUPPORT:  "We rode our luck last night no doubt about it if Cork had their full team it would have being a different story, some of our wides from frees and from play were very poor but at saying that a sign of a good team is when they win playing badly and I'll take a Munster final win of any kind. Kyle Hayes looked to have being given the job of protecting the full back line which he did very well. Thomas Grimes and Colin Ryan caught some serious high balls and Grimes who was my man of the match took his 2 points very well too. I thought our forwards did well enough in the 1st half went out of the game for alot of the 2nd half against the wind, and sometimes the ball came out as fast as it went in, but in fairness to them the quality of ball coming in wasnt great either. Ahern and Boylan started winning ball when they were interduced which helped out some bit. I thought Kingston, Dalton and O'Mahoney caused our backs some serious headaches especially in the 2nd half when their goalie went long with the puck outs. The players themselves weathered the storm and grinded out the win last night. Limerick under preformed last night and management have to shoulder some of the blame for that, if we play like that against Galway we will be beaten. For Galway I would consider moving Ronan Lynch up to the forwards he is not doing badly half back but he is not setting the world a light either his talents might be more effective in around the goal and put Andrew La Touche Cosgrave half back, bring Seamus Flanagan into the bench too give ourselves another option for the forwards. Hopefully last night will be a wake up call because it was like we thought we only had to turn up and win."
what a load of rubbish. what did you want limerick to beat cork by 8, 10 15 points. this is a cork team with 11 senior panelists, were physically huge ad able to hurl. i dont think we were ever in trouble at any stage in this match we were 4 up in injury time they got 2 late points....saying if cork had fitzgibbon and meade we would have lost ...or management have to take the blame...take the blame for what (because we didnt win by 10 points) we are after winning a munster title beating tipp clare and cork. will ye give over the negativity and start praising the players and management for a change.

Replying To katser:  "KK will be well able for them... Richie Hogan is like a young lad buzzing around the field and big Wally will cause some damage...could we have KK v Wex for the 3rd time or will it be a classic KK v Tipp Final clash of the Titans!!"
one thing for sure is galway won't be there kathleen....

i hope fitz goes to galway that will def take them out of the equation for as long as he's there.....one less team to worry about. i wouldnt let him in charge of a junior b team , nothing but drama and jumping around like a madman.

the way things are been fast tracked i wouldnt be surprised if the hurling and football allrelands are finished by mid november.....its gas when you think back to mid april and to listen to the experts that were on here saying there would be no hurling or football this year and some were saying none next year either....

the antics of the cork players was terrible to watch......rolling around the ground roaring....to me it was obvious it was something that was discussed by management.....gaa is a mans game hope that kind of stuff is cut out. the irony of it was funny tho conor boylan had a genuine penalty call over looked and got a yellow card for diving......not our best ever performance but still had too much for a speedy but limited cork team.

Replying To Lockjaw:  "That's an unfair charge to level at people who were expressing opinions with the information that was to hand at the time. While people were dying and contracting the virus at an alarming rate it was right to call out that sporting competition would be far down the list of priorities."
with the information that was available at the time the prospects of gaa for the season didn't look great but i kept saying that it was only april and we could be looking at a totally different scenario by july or august, which has turned out to be the case but plenty on here had the year written off in march and april...which was very premature.

everyone is entitled to their say but who knows whats ahead of us......anyone saying there will be no sport in 2020 is just guessing. its only the 21st of april and i know things don't look good at the moment , but there could be changes that we didn't see coming as the year goes on we could be looking at a totally different scenario on august 1st or sept the 1st...at present sporting prospects don't look great but who knows what twist and turns this virus could take as the year goes on.

Time To Allow Crowds In - 3 Like(s)

Replying To Tirchonaill1:  "Of course it's safe to let substantial crowds into the bigger stadiums, you're far closer to people in a retail setting for example and that's indoors, look at the crowds at the Euro soccer games, I don't see how they can justify not letting crowds back in, space them out wear a mask etc but lets start getting back to a more normal life. Surely these antigen tests can be used for people wanting to attend outdoor sport or music events? The dogs in the street know that Tony."
agree 100% its ridiculous ...streets, shops and beer gardens in killarney packed and a handful of people inside in a 40,000 capacity stadium......

Replying To befair:  "This year is definitely out. Next year will probably also be impossible, unless a vaccine is developed, which is at best uncertain. We could always start injecting county players with detergent, as Trumpy has suggested."
predicting this year not to mind next year is ridiculous....the leading health experts don't even know what the country will be like in 2 months not to mind 6 months or 12 months. all county boards have been contacted by croke park to be ready if the go ahead is given for club matches later in the year . we could be looking at a totally different landscape by august or september.

you'd have to feel for clare today as the penalty was the turning point in the game. it was a disgraceful decision and players who puts their lives on hold deserve better than that.
