Munster GAA put an additional 3,000 provincial hurling cup final tickets for sale online at 9pm last night, but they are already sold out.

The attendance for tomorrow's Munster Cup meeting between Clare and Limerick at Cusack Park was originally capped at 5,000 owing to restrictions, with tickets selling out early this week.

However, Taoiseach Micheál Martin announced in a televised addressed to the nation yesterday evening that "restrictions on capacity for indoor and outdoor events will no longer apply", allowing for increased attendances at GAA matches across the country from this weekend.

Shortly afterwards, Munster GAA tweeted to say extra tickets were made available for the All-Ireland champions' clash with Clare in Ennis.

Those additional tickets have been snapped up, according to a further update by the provincial council on Twitter this morning, while they also said that "due to the short turnaround following the lifting of restrictions, the agreed safe capacity for this fixture is 8,000."

Meanwhile, extra tickets for today's McGrath Cup SF final featuring Kerry and Cork at Fitzgerald Stadium remain on sale online.
