Clare camogie star Chloe Morey really was ‘Born in the USA’ and wears the Stars and Stripes on a bandana under her helmet during games. 

"It keeps my hair back and I was born in California so I suppose it suits," says the 2013 All Star after a Player of the Match performance helped Clare beat Dublin in their Littlewoods National League Division 1 Relegation Play-off. 

The Sixmilebridge forward also sports word tattoos such as ‘Resilience’ and ‘Perspective’, and reveals that a bamboo hurl seems to be giving her extra length when taking frees. Morey scored an impressive 1-7 which included two frees from inside her own half.
