Meath’s Vikki Wall and Erika O’Shea of Cork were to the fore for the North Melbourne Kangaroos in their 39-9 AFLW Grand Final demolition of the Brisbane Lions at Ikon Park in Melbourne on Saturday.
Two-time All-Ireland winner Wall finished with 12 disposals (7 kicks & 5 handballs), 2 marks, 7 tackles, 2 goals, and 1 behind, while O’Shea, who started on the interchange bench, collected 9 disposals (7 kicks and 2 handballs), 1 mark, and 5 tackles in defence, as the Kangaroos avenged last year’s defeat to the same opponents in stunning fashion.
Wall, who narrowly missed out on a place in Ireland’s Olympic rugby sevens squad earlier this year, was the winners’ second top scorer.
The Brisbane line-up included Tipperary's Orla O'Dwyer and Dublin's Jennifer Dunne.
