There has been mixed reaction to this evening's All-Ireland SFC semi-final at Croke Park as holders Dublin went through the gears in the second half and comfortably saw off the challenge of Cavan by 15 points in the end...
Delighted for McDaid. A brilliant minor in 2011, he's found it tough to break into such a dominant team. Given an extended run this year, you'd almost say Dublin aren't missing McCaffrey, which is as high a compliment as you could pay him.

The Dublin coaching staff dont get half the recognition that they deserve , the coaching these boys get is phenomenal, the players are just unbelievable talent their skill set their work rate there overall performance I don’t think we will see a better bunch of players ever

Even in defeat we in Cavan are bursting with pride this evening. All @CavanCoBoardGaa players gave every ounce of energy they have in @CrokePark. Thanks to @mickeygraham11 and the lads for a wonderful season. Without doubt @DubGAAOfficial are the best team in my lifetime.

#dubvcav was incredibly disheartening. Dublin shot their lights out at a trot in the last 5-10 mins. Cavan are a talented, brave and hardworking side. At 60 mins, they were well beaten. At 70, they were humiliated. The game is in huge trouble.

But Cavan had some awful, scoreable wides in that match & made errors that gifted possession to the Dubs.

Fair play to @CavanCoBoardGaa never gave up , played to the very end , @DubGAAOfficial just the best gaa team ever , thought Cavan could have used Thomas Galligan a bit better , leaving one of there best players in on the square against the dubs makes no sense 😱😱
