Local rivals Kiladangan and Kilruane MacDonaghs will face off for the Dan Breen Cup on Sunday week following their Tipperary SHC semi-final victories at a rain-soaked Thurles yesterday.

Kiladangan are through to their third county final in four years thanks to a 1-21 to 1-17 victory over Drom & Inch. The 2020 champions sealed the win with a late goal from Dan O'Meara.

They led by 0-14 to 0-10 at half-time before a Seamus Callanan goal just after the restart brought Drom & Inch back into contention. Tommy Nolan also shot four points for Drom & Inch, but Kiladangan held out.

In the other semi-final, Kilruane ended Upperchurch-Drombane's double hopes with a 2-17 to 1-14 win to qualify for their first decider since 1986.

Jerome Cahill scored 1-4 for Liam O'Kelly's side, who led by 2-9 to 1-7 at half-time thanks to majors from Cahill and Cian Darcy. TJ Butler netted at the other end, but it was a bridge too far for the double-chasing Upperchurch-Drombane men.
