Dublin Fans Behaviour - 26 Like(s)
Read reports that Longford fans were attacked on the terraces at the weekend and that referee needed Garda escort when leaving field while being verbally abused by Dublin supporters. I know Dublin fans don't like to have to put up with away matches and the GAA does their utmost so as not to inconvenience them but you would think they could at least behave on the odd occasion they do have to travel.

Keep The Dubs Fans Happy - 23 Like(s)
I see that the Mayo v Donegal game is only on Sky on Saturday so tough luck to any fans from those Counties that cant make it and dont have Sky. On the othe hand Dublin fans cant be expected to travel to Omagh (they dont even go to Croker these days) so their dead rubber game is live on RTE. The Dubs under 20's are also live on Saturday so Anto & Bud wont have to get out the map to figure out how to get to Portlaoise. Culchies only 2nd class citizens these days.

All Ireland Club Semi Finals. - 9 Like(s)
Conditions should have suited Kilmacud. There was no way to keep count of subs, could have been 21 or 22 of them on at end for all we know. At least the transfer window is open.

Sean Cavanagh could be called the Greg Louganis of Gaelic Football. He has now retired from inter County so we wont see him throwing his 6 foot 3, 15 stone frame to the ground in apparent agony after the slightest contact any more.

Meath vs Donegal - 6 Like(s)
Disallowed goal in first half was ridiculous and some really soft frees for Meath especially the last one and the one where he booked Murphy. Ref did his best to keep Meath in it. Improved performances from Ryan McHugh, Ban and Jason McGee. Caolan Ward looks like a serious man marker.

Donegal Vs Tyrone - 6 Like(s)
Had to laugh at Tyrone physio checking to see if McKernan was concussed after he threw himself to ground feigning injury. Shades of Tiernan McCann, but you'd expect nothing else from Tyrone.

Fenton On The Training Ban. - 5 Like(s)

Replying To KingdomBoy1:  "I just read where Brian Fenton couldn't understand the back lash he and his dublin team mates got for breaking the training ban. What did he think was going to happen? Did he/they think dublin didn't have enough advantages over every 1 else as it was so they decided they needed more? The good news though is that he can now see it was wrong to break the nation wide training ban, it took a while but fair play he finally got it."
His father who is a good Kerry man must have explained to him that they were wrong. Dubs wouldn't know right from wrong sure, whereas Kerry men are pure as the driven snow. Kerry have never had any advantages either having to battle their way past Waterford and Limerick most years to get to business end of the championship.

Dublin v Mayo - 3 Like(s)
Cillian O Connor fails to score from play again and his free taking poor as well. Just to cap things off his marker heads up the field and kicks 2 good points. I really dont understand what people see in him. The best of a very poor set of Mayo forwards but wouldn't make the Dublin or Kerry starting teams.

Donegal V Cavan. Ulster Final. 2019- - 3 Like(s)

Replying To offtheditch:  "Donegal a sullenly the better team. We made their job too easy with our kick outs and generally giving them possession too easy. Donegal very clinical. Donegal very very synical. Murphy plays the victim and the ref. so well."
Maybe past events on the football field have made him a little bit cynical. Double marking, constantly being fouled and dragged must take a toll. In one of his earlier Championship games the then Cavan captain Damien Reilly charged at him and then threw himself on the ground a la Neymay, end result being young Michael red carded after 20 minutes. Thankfully Michael was later exonerated on appeal and his 14 remaining team mates gave Cavan a right hammering anyway. Yeah, cynism on the football field, dont think Michael Murphy started it.

Replying To JP91:  "If memory serves I was fairly certain mackin got injured in training. It was great to see him back on Sunday and hopefully he will kick on next season"
Good to see him back with the goggles on to protect the eye. Armagh ahead of the game when it comes to preventing eye injuries.

Brennan was being fouled as defender had hands on his back causing him to need extra steps to keep his balance and stay on his feet. If he had gone down it would be a penalty and black card for defender for denying clear goal scoring chance. In effect Donegal were disadvantaged as they would have scored a goal from the penalty and had an extra man for 10 minutes. Do we want to go back to the old days were Tyrone were dragging men to ground with next to no punishment (Sean Kavanagh v Monaghan) or Mayo rugby tackling Dublin players for most of 2nd half in 2012 all Ire semi.

Replying To RoyalBadger:  "Best of luck to the Meath team. The whole country wants us to fail but hopefully we can put in a performance to be proud of."
Why do you think the whole Country wants you to fail?. That may have been the case in the late 80s and early 90s but not anymore.

As usual Mayo's so called Marquee forward kicked wides when the pressure was really on. Will the players demand that Rochfort is sacked?
