Gaelic football lost on Waterford beach found washed up in Wales

The gaelic football belonging to 10-year-old Aoife Ní Niocaill was found on Llanrhystud beach after being lost on Woodstown Beach in Waterford.
A gaelic football that was lost on a Waterford beach has been found, through the power of social media, more than 300km away, washed up off the west coast of Wales.
The missing ball belonging to 10-year-old Aoife Ní Niocaill was found on Llanrhystud beach by Aline Denton at the weekend.
Aline, who lives near Ceredigion in Wales, posted a picture of the ball with the caption: "If anyone knows Aoife Ní Niocaill, her football's just washed up on Llanrhystud Beach - west Wales! Wonder how long it's taken to get here from Ireland?"
After being tagged by family and friends, Aoife's dad Ruairi Mac Niocaill responded within four hours to say that she lost her ball on Woodstown Beach last Sunday.
"I'm Aoife's dad!" Ruairi commented on the post.
"She's 10 years old and she lost her ball on Woodstown Beach in County Waterford last Sunday. It went in the water as the tide was going out and all we could so was watch it drift away!
"I showed her the picture you posted-- she thinks she's famous now!
"Thanks so much for posting it."
