Andy Moran on duty for Mayo

Former Mayo star Andy Moran could be set to his first senior inter-county managerial role after having emerged as a candidate for the Longford vacancy, according to a report on Ourgame.ie.

Padraic Davis stepped down from his post as Longford senior football manager in July after three years at the helm.

Footballer of the Year in 2017, Moran won eight Connacht SFC titles during his playing career as well as two National League crowns and two All Star awards.

In 2020, he became involved with Mayo U20s in a coaching capacity before going on to manage his native Ballaghaderreen alongside Mike Sloan.
