Clare v Cork McGrath Cup game moved to Saturday

January 05, 2022

Mark Collins of Cork out in front against Clare

Tomorrow evening’s McGrath Cup clash between Clare and Cork has been postponed to Saturday afternoon.

The Munster sides were set to open their respective 2022 campaigns against each other on Thursday evening at Miltown-Malbay but the game has since been moved to Saturday at the same venue (throw-in 2pm).

It is understood that Clare agreed to a request from Cork to move the game to the weekend.

The Banner men had been due to get their campaign underway last Sunday against Waterford but the game was postponed due to a number of Covid cases in the Deise panel.
