Anthony Nash scored three points from frees on his Limerick SHC debut for South Liberties last night.
The former Cork goalkeeper also kept a clean sheet for his new club who cruised to a 4-18 to 0-15 first round victory over Blackrock. Nash transferred from his home club Kanturk earlier this year, just a few weeks after bringing the curtain down on his 16-year senior inter-county career. His cousin and Limerick All-Ireland winner Barry Nash was also among the scorers in a game which South Liberties dominated from start to finish.
Many of Limerick's back-to-back All-Ireland champions will be in SHC action this weekend with Na Piarsaigh v Kilmallock and Doon v Patrickswell being among the standout fixtures.
