Arva's Kevin Bouchier races away from Drumlane's Donal Monahan

The Cavan intermediate and junior football championships are set to come to a conclusion this weekend with both competition finals down for decision.

This evening (Saturday) sees Arva and Drumlane clashing at Kingspan Breffni (7pm) in the junior decider as both teams chase promotion back to the intermediate ranks.

This year’s championship opener saw an impressive performance from Arva recording a 10-point win over their Milltown counterparts in Bawnboy and they’re 2/5 favourites to bring the Sean Leddy Cup back to Michael Cully Park.

Sunday afternoon sees Ballyhaise and Castlerahan cross swords in the intermediate final at the same Cavan Town venue.

When the sides met a little over four weeks ago it was Castlerahan that came away from Lavey with the 1-14 to 0-10 victory.

Now the Tommy Gilroy Cup is on the line and return to senior status along with it. Throw in is at 4pm.

Next Sunday, October 16th, sees the senior championship final down for decision as Gowna face Killygarry at Kingspan Breffni (4pm).
