U14 Girls

Our U14 Girls defeated  Arva/Killeshandra on Wednesday evening last by 2-10 to 1-7 in the Championship and then suffered a 6-9 to 5-7 loss to Sherock in  O'Hagan Park on Sunday last.  Our U14 girls host Cuchulainns this Sunday September 26 at 11.30 am in Rory O'Moore Park in Round 4 of the Championship. 

 

Condolences to the extended McCorry Family 

The club would like to extend their deepest sympathies to the McCorry Family on the passing of Dermot McCorry, Drumalee, Belturbet, who died peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family last week and whose funeral mass took place on Thursday last. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dermot’s loving wife Margaret, daughters Jude, Sarah and Laura, the Club Children’s Officer, and sons, former player, John and Owen, sisters Kitsy, Delores, Betty and Una, sons-in-law Robert, Johnny (Higgins), Mike, daughters-in-law Mary and Deirdre and extended family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.

 

U17s

Best of luck to our U17s and management who face Drumport this Saturday September 25 at 1pm in the opening round of the U17 Division 3 Championship. 

 

Senior Men

Our Senior men suffered a 2-11 to 1-10 defeat at the hands of Killinkere on Sunday last in Crubany. 

Belturbet: Danny Anscombe, Jack Lawlor, Peter Shannon, Stuart Dunne, Killian Murray, Kevin McConnell(0-1), Shane Fitzpatrick, Sean Og Lawlor(0-1), Mark Lawlor, John Cahill, Donal McDonald, Fionan O’Reilly, Brendan Vesey(0-3), Niall O’Reilly(0-2), Enda Henry(1-2 1pen). Subs: Jack O’Callaghan, Eoin McGuigan, Jason O’Reilly(0-1), Augustas Saulis.  Our Senior men face Butlersbridge this Sunday September 26 at 4pm in Ballyconnell knowing that more than likely they will be facing into a relegation play-off battle in the coming weeks. 

 

U12 Girls

Our U12 Girls suffered a 0-22 to 0-6 loss to Laragh United last Saturday in Rory O'Moore Park in the U12 Division 3 Championship.

After a long hiatus due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the Club Lotto has resumed. The club draw will take place every Sunday night. Lotto envelopes are available throughout town and from any committee member.      

 

Club Membership    

Many thanks for your continued strong and loyal support for our club. Family Membership in Club Belturbet is €300 for the year or €240 for the year for an individual membership in Club Belturbet.  If any member wishes to purchase the regular membership the fee for the year is €50. Membership fees for 2021 can be paid  to our club chairman Paul O'Reilly, Vice-Chairman Mark Lawlor or indeed any of the club committee.
