U12 girls Final

Best of luck to the U12 girls and their management team on this coming Saturday in their U12 league final when they take on Knockbride.  Please see club social media for further details.

U14 girls league semi final

Hard luck to the U14 girls who lost out to Kingscourt in a hard fought Division 2 semi final played in Kingscourt on Wednesday evening last.  We wish Kate McSeain a speedy recovery from her injury sustained during the game.

ACFL Division 2

Cornafean 1-10      Lavey 4-8

Despite a seven point difference in the eventual scoreline, Cornafean will take many positives from the league match against Lavey played in Pairc Naomh Fionnan on Saturday evening last.  With some young players coming onto the team and others returning from injury the Reds management and players can hopefully look forward to better days ahead.  With Lavey bagging two early goals, the lads could have dropped their heads but they showed guts and determination to make a comeback and compete well against strong opposition.  It was a good all round team performance but best for the Reds were Shane Doyle, Ronan Traynor, Culainn McSeain, Conor Sheridan and goal keeper Emmett Martin.

Ladies Division 2 League

Belturbet 3-11   Cornafean 2-19

Congratulations to the Senior ladies and their management team who have qualified for the Division 2 league semi final by virtue of their five point victory over Belturbet played in Belturbet on last Sunday morning.  It was a very good team performance from the girls in Red and no doubt scoring 2-19 was a satisfying days work and should encourage the team to approach the semi final with confidence.  No opposition or venue have been confirmed when going to press.
