Niall McNamee will make his 48th championship appearance for Offaly when the Faithfuls take on Carlow in Sunday's Leinster SFC opener at O'Connor Park (throw-in 1.30pm).

After being coaxed out of retirement by manager John Maughan last year, the Rhode attacker has been playing inter-county senior football since the age of 17 having made his debut against Laois in 2003 and is still going strong at 34.

McNamee was man-of-the-match in the Offaly SFC final earlier this month as Rhode beat Tullamore to pick up their 30th title while he came off the bench to score 0-5 in the county's recent Allianz League Division 3 defeat to Derry.

Offaly (Leinster SFC v Carlow): Paddy Dunican; Declan Hogan, Eoin Rigney, Niall Darby; Eoin Carroll, Johnny Moloney, Colm Doyle; Aaron Leavy, Jordan Hayes; Shane Horan, Ruairi McNamee, Anton Sullivan; Niall McNamee, Peter Cunningham, Bernard Allen.
