Former Longford boss Denis Connerton has been appointed manager of Westmeath club side Garrycastle.
Connerton, who spent the last two seasons in charge of St Mary's, Kiltoghert in Leitrim, succeeds joint-managers Gary Dolan and John Keane in the role. The duo stepped down after Garrycastle's Westmeath SFC final replay loss to St Loman's in November, with Keane having since become a Westmeath senior football selector.
Keane, along with fellow All-Star Dessie Dolan, replaced Ken Robinson - who was last night named as Edenderry's new senior football manager - in Jack Cooney's backroom team.
Connerton will work alongside John Donnellan, who has been installed as Garrycastle's new coach. The former Galway All-Ireland winning forward previously managed neighbouring Castledaly.
