Dublin boss Dessie Farrell says the All-Ireland champions are “expecting a huge tussle” against Mayo next Saturday week.

The Dubs booked their slot into another All-Ireland SFC semi-final yesterday by claiming an eleventh Leinster title in-a-row with a 0-20 to 1-9 win over Kildare at Croke Park.

Speaking to RTE Sport afterwards, Farrell was quick to turn his attentions towards the showdown with the Connacht champions in less than two weeks’ time.

"We have been focused on Kildare, the attention turns to Mayo very quickly for us," he said. "They were hugely impressive in the second-half against Galway in the Connacht final.

"Very little separates the teams always so we are expecting a huge tussle.

"Today yes, it was the most consistent that we have been, but there is still plenty to work on and we will need to improve as we go on."
