The GAA is set to give an update on its plans for the 2021 season at the end of the month.

A report from RTE Sport today suggests that “it is likely” the start date for the Allianz Leagues on February 21st will be pushed back until the end of March at the earliest, depending on the rate of Covid-19 cases in the country and what restrictions the government implements.

Should the Allianz Leagues commence in March it would see the All-Ireland championships pushed back, having been scheduled to start on April 17th this year.

Now, the GAA is looking at the possibility of its inter-county championships concluding in mid to late August, after which club championships will likely commence.
