Aaron Kernan is expected to be fit for Crossmaglen Rangers’ Armagh SFC final showdown against Maghery this Sunday.

The former Armagh star was said to be in doubt for the decider, along with Callum Cumiskey, but it has since emerged that both men are expected to be available for the Athletic Grounds clash (throw-in 4pm).

Cross are bidding for their third county title in-a-row against the 2016 winners and have not lost a senior championship final in the Orchard County since 1982.

As for Kernan, he’ll be gunning for a remarkable 17th SFC title win in his club’s colours, having captured his first back in 2001 at 17 when the famous south Armagh club made it six-in-a-row against Dromintee.
