The complicity of the Kerry SFC never ceases to amaze as this year's county SFC semi-finalists Kerins O'Rahillys are in a championship relegation play-off.

Should O'Rahillys lose to Kilcummin that game they will be playing intermediate football next year, despite reaching the last four of the SFC!!

Dr Crokes and South Kerry will contest this year's county final and regardless of the result, the Colm Cooper led Crokes are through to the Munster club SFC where they will play the Tipperary champions on October 29th.

Had Kerins O'Rahillys, who include Kerry star David Moran and ex county player Tommy Walsh in their ranks, got further than Crokes, it would have been them looking forward to a run in the provincial championship and not a relegation battle.

To add insult to injury, O'Rahilly's relegation contest is the curtainraiser to the county final on Sunday week.
