The Carlow and Leitrim county boards have both been handed €1,000 fines arising from a mass brawl which took place in the closing stages of their All-Ireland SFC qualifier at Netwatch Cullen Park on July 8 last.

The CCCC took action against both counties for "disruptive conduct at games by players (not causing the premature termination of a game)". A hearing of the Central Hearings Committee last night upheld the penalty and imposed a €1,000 fine on both counties, who have the option of appealing the decision to the Central Appeals Committee.
