Bondi Gaels Club Notes
11 July 2012
1st Round of the Championship 2012
A good week of training was following by the Bondi Gaels first ever Championship game last Sunday against the recent league champs Cormac McAnallens. The Bondi Gaels suffered a setback prior to the game with the loss of their regular goalkeeper "Boots" to a knee injury in a hurling match earlier in the day. Get well soon Alister. The match was a highly competitive affair and remained very close with only 1 point in it with 5 minutes to go. The CM's tacked on a few nice scores at the end to finish strong and end on a score of 0-13 to 1-7 to end a good challenge by the Bondi men. Regular training commences this week and we look forward to the game against the Young Irelands this Sunday in Ingleburn.
As Sydney's newest club, we welcome any new players looking to join the club and play some football. There are great opportunities for job contacts across a number of industries which has been to the benefit of some of our new members already. We train twice a week Tuesday & Thursday evenings at 7:30pm under lights. Players of all grades and skills are more than welcome. Phone or text 0426878757 for more information. C'mon the Bondi Gaels!!
