Cavan Social and Football club of New York
The Cavan football club of New York is holding the annual Peter McKiernan Golf outing on Monday the 25th of June this year. The outing which brings supporters and friends of the club together from around the Tri-state area, will be held at Van Cortland Park Golf Club in the Bronx. Tee Time is 10 am with the entry fee of $150 including 18 holes of golf, golf cart, lunch and open bar at Danny Macs after wards where the awards will be given out. Prizes galore will also be available on the day with longest drive, closest to the pin as well as best four ball just some of the awards. The outing is named in the memory of Peter McKiernan who was a long time officer and member not only of the Cavan club but also the New York GAA. His record setting vote tallies in NY elections year after year were a testament to the high regard he was held in. His help to clubs with regards to insurance and injured players were tremendous.
