Penrith Gaels Sydney club notes
29 May 2012

Penrith Gaels team
Our senior men's team continued their winning ways on Sunday with a comprehensive 3 07 to 2 02 win over Cormac macanallens. In a tough game macanallens started strong with a goal from a penalty after 5 mins. From then on it was all penrith. A fisted goal from Cathal Caldwell and points from Niall O'Kane(2) and Alan Daly(2) Left penrith ahead 1 04 to 1 01 at half time. Penrith went further ahead in the second half with points from Caldwell, Michael Hasson and Raymie Mulgrew. Macanallens scored a goal and a point in the last few minutes before a long range goal from Mulgrew sealed the result. The win sees us remain top of the New South Wales league with 4 wins from 4 games. Our next game is against Bondi Gaels in the final round of the league this Sunday at 3pm.
Our ladies football team were beaten by a strong Clan na Gael team on sunday. The girls put up a brave fight to the end but Clans experience saw them through in the end. Best for penrith were Joann Ronan, Amanda Creighton and Aine Molloy. Our next game is against Michael Cusacks on Sunday next.
After the games we headed out to our clubhouse for a night of ceoil agus craic. Many thanks to John, paddy and the boys for the food, beverages and entertainment provided. A great night was had by all.
Penrith Gaels are always on the lookout for new players for our men's and ladies football teams. We are based in Bondi Junction in the heart of Sydney's eastern suburbs. Check out our Facebook page for more details. www.facebook.com/penrithgaelssydney
