NYGAA Coaching Conference a great success

Last Saturday NYGAA hosted their first ever Coaching and Games Development Conference in Gaelic Park as part of the weekends events to coincide with the New York game against Sligo. The event was a fantastic success with over 60 coaches and the feile team benefiting from the coaching sessions provided.
Presenting on the day was NYGAA's own Mickey Coleman current New York Senior Football Coach who did a presentation on Conditioned Games for Youth Players using the NY Feile Team.
John Tobin Connacht Council Provincial Games Director gave a presentation on the Important Role of the Coaching Officer in a club.
Will Harris founder of Riverdale Strength and Fitness presented on the importance on strength and conditioning work for any athlete to build preformance and prevent injury.
Pat Daly GAA Games Director stressed the importance of coaching to the power of 10 using a games based approach to training.
Damien Coleman Connacht Hurling Director presented on Fundamental Hurling training and how to develop movement skills in the youngest players.
