Offaly senior hurling manager Kevin Martin has yet to be reappointed in the position for another year.

Martin has been busy putting his backroom team in place and reports suggest that former Tipperary All-Ireland winner Declan Fanning is on board as coach.

However, at last week’s Offaly County Board meeting, Martin was not re-appointed in the role, even though it was expected that he would be.

The fact that he wasn’t has started rumblings in the county that there are issues between the former All-Ireland winner and the county board.

While these rumours may be just that, it wouldn’t be the first time that Offaly has had issues with their managers.
