Minor Football and Hurling Championship Draws

Its back to the clubs for the Meath county minor footballers

The draws for the opening rounds of the Meath Minor Football Championships have been made.

Minor Football League Division 1 champions Na Fianna take on Wolfe Tones while Donaghmore Ashbourne, defeated in the Div 1 MFL final take on the Division 2 winners Dunshaughlin. Holders Skryne take on Dunboyne. Fresh from their MFL success Oldcastle, aiming to put championship titles back to back, face Summerhill in the opening round of the Division 2.

Na Fianna completed the football and hurling double back in April and they will be favourites to retain the Division 1 hurling championship that they won for the first time ever last year beating Kiltale in the final.

Round 1 games will take place on Wednesday August 17th (Hurling) and Wednesday August 24th (Football)

First named team has home advantage in opening round.
