A message from Kilskyre Hurling Club

May 03, 2016

Clonkill were winners of the 2015 Kilskyre Hurling 7's

I am writing to invite your club to participate in this year's Kilskyre Festival 2016 Senior Hurling Sevens Competition organised by Kilskyre Hurling Club, being held Saturday the 28th of May 2016.

This tournament exceeded our expectations last year we had four groups of four teams and it was 'ding-dong' battles from the start with Clonkill coming out worthy winners in the end.

This tournament will be held as a centre point to our Festival weekend to showcase hurling. It will start at 2pm on Saturday 28th of May and we have the 'Big Red Barn' as seen on 'dragons den' which is an American style barn to host the 'Wild West County Band & DJ' later that night. It's a great opportunity to get your players and supporters to come together for a one-off day and night if you wish.

The tournament is ideal preparation ahead of the championship season, two weeks before the start. It guarantees a minimum of three games with the intensity of tournament competition. We hope to have clubs from Meath, Cavan, Louth, Westmeath & Monaghan. The Anthony Geraghty Memorial Cup will be presented to the winners on the day.

- The entry fee is €100. (10 players plus 2 mentors)

- Competition limited to 16 teams competition places are filled on a "first come first served" basis

If for further information or details on the competition please contact Tom Gilsenan on 087 2231547 or [email protected]

If your club wishes to take part in the Senior Hurling Sevens Competition I would appreciate it if you could please return the enclosed contact & entry form along with the entry fee (€100) to me before Saturday 14thof May 2016, note we will be filling places on a "first come first served" basis
