Adare have proven that their maiden Limerick SFC success 12 months ago was no fluke by retaining their title at Newcastlewest today.
An injury-time goal from substitute Charlie McCarthy gave the Harry Gleeson managed outfit some breathing space as they overcame the challenge of Ballylanders by 1-13 to 0-12.
A strong second-half showing helped the holders overturn a 0-5 to 0-9 half-time deficit and midfielder Jack English - who kicked three second-half points - was awarded the ‘man-of-the-match’ accolade.
