Former Cork forward James Masters has joined the Cork ladies management team for the 2016 campaign.
Masters was a part of new manager Ephie Fitzgerald's backroom team for today's National League Round Two clash against neighbours Kerry at Brosna, where the Rebelettes lost out on a 0-11 to 2-4 score-line.
It marks the second consecutive defeat for the All-Ireland champions since former manager Eamonn Ryan departed at the end of last year to work with Peader Healy and the Rebels' men's team, whom suffered a heavy 2-14 to 1-7 loss to Donegal in Ballyshannon this afternoon.
Fitzgerald will be hoping Masters' experience as a player can help to turn around the team's recent poor form, having won three Munster titles with the Leesiders and a barrage of club silverware with Nemo Rangers, including an All-Ireland title in 2003.
