Fr Murphys Ladies news

20 July 2012
As we approach the August break Fr Murphys Ladies Footballers are going very nicely in the Provincial Football championship
with a 2.20 to 0-03 win over Tara's on Wednesday last, they are well on course for a semi final place in September, having won their last three matches in a row and posted scores of twenty points or more in all of them, they have really found their shooting boots. Last Wednesday Aoife Waters from St Martins finally made her return to the purple and gold when she came on at centrefield and she joins a panel that contains Sinead White (St Anne's) Eileen Rowesome (Geraldine O Halloran's) Donna Byrne (Marshallstown), so the Wexford connection is strong as ever in the club.
The camogie championship, has been very disjointed this year with several fixtures called off due to weather, but the Fr Murphy's are again on course for a Semi final spot in September, when a lot of the student players will be back after the summer break
The mens team have suffered with cancellations of fixtures due to unplayable pitches and are still waiting to start the 2012 hurling championship, but hope to be up and running in the next few weeks.
